Fuel Cell Reactor

I decided to study solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) for my undergraduate honors thesis and forged a relationship with a fuel cell research lab at another university to in order to pursue this.

I designed, fabricated, and tested a novel geometry for a Swiss roll reactor that would allow a better fuel cell technology to be used. This would boost fuel efficiency by at least a factor of two and increase the viability of SOFCs for portable applications.
